JOHN HUDGES | 26 | ROOM 1236 WITH LILLY
Hello there! Or ...bonjour as I should say! Name's John. John Hudges. I'm twenty six and living a lovely life here in Paris with my best friend, Lilly Jones. Here's to a life of adventure!

Hel - er Bonjour!

king-everett:

Oh goodness, you flatterer! .omeone as charming as you must have someone you have your eye on? uh, I mean I guess I do, but he’s just recently become aware of my existence, so the future isn’t to optimistic for that! Those are my thoughts exactly, plus then the whole, killing himself. He’s so over dramatic, more of a teenage girl than Juliet! I love theater acting, it’s such a rush! It definitely harder than being a tv actor, I mean it’s one take and if you mess up then there’s nothing you can do about it! I’ll just stop buy for the company then I suppose! Your secret is safe with me don’t you worry!

Yeah, I’m a bit of a charmer, but don’t let that get to you, haha!  Only teasing!  Well, you’re young!  You have time, don’t you?  Besides, you’re Romeo!  Just use a bit of those Romeo powers and I’m sure you’ll have him in the bag for sure …sort of.  Don’t take my advice actually, that was pretty awful.  As for me, I, uh, suppose I …sort of have my eye on somebody, but I can’t tell if she fancies me as I do her.  Theatre acting is definitely something I admire though.  I haven’t seen much so getting the opportunity to go is lovely.  I’ll definitely take a visit with a friend of mine.  I’m fairly certain she’ll enjoy the show and love you as Romeo!  Much appreciated, mon ami!

My, my! So many people!

lillywritesthings:

I’m definitely an alien, John. Definitely. I’m also a pirate.

What!?  How come you never told me until now!?  I knew you were an alien!  I’ve always had my suspicions - hey!  Watch where you slice and dice, you!

My, my! So many people!

Are any of you potential aliens?

Hel - er Bonjour!

king-everett:

If they are there for me then they’re in for even more heartbreak, I’m not exactly interested! I always thought Romeo acted even younger than Juliet, he was easily swayed and irrational, but he’s a fun character to play! I might have to stop by at some point! But yeah, the service at the hotel cafe is wonderful, really really wonderful!

Ah, but handsome face like yours, you must have somebody you have an eye on, no?  Yeah, I think Romeo is kind of childish too.  I mean, he likes Rosaline one day and then he fancies Juliet!  What’s up with that?  Nevertheless, theatre acting is very impressive!  I wish I was doing something as productive.  Between you and me, I honestly think the cafe at the lobby tastes better than the one at the place I work at, but don’t tell my managers, I need my job, haha!

Uh, good evening..

emilastead:

Oh, John… yes, indeed, long time, no chat. Pleasure to see you, as always. Uh, nothing really, chatting with a few acquaintances, and you?

Sounds rather pleasant!  And it’s nice to chat with you as always.  As for moi - look, more French! - I’m just sort of …lounging about.  …Thinking where I might hide if I was an alien.  …The usual.  Also known as ‘being bored’.

Uh, good evening..

emilastead:

Good evening to you, Emilia!  Long time no chat.  What you up to?

Hel - er Bonjour!

king-everett:

It’s quite a sad story though, isn’t it? I think one of the funniest parts of the job is getting those crazy teenage girls who think it’s some perfect love story, and wish they had a relationship like theirs. Then they see the play and their life all but falls apart! Oh gosh I don’t know if I’ll ever want to try snails! I get to go out a bit, but my job is quite time consuming, so I haven’t got to do a ton of sight seeing. On my days off I often find my self in the small cafe connected to the hotel!

Oh, look at you, mean little heartbreaker!  Now I see why you’re Romeo!  Are you sure the teenage girls aren’t lining up to see your play for you?  Only joking, of course!  Frankly, Romeo and Juliet is not particularly my very favorite due to the realistic silliness since Juliet was very young when she fell in love, but I enjoy the prose.  …Oh, I think I’ve seen you a few times at the cafe now that I think about it!  I work at a coffee shop too, but I have to say that the service at the lobby hotel cafe is very sophisticated compared to my handiwork!

For Fish Fingers & Custard @Lilly;

lillywritesthings:

“It’s great, actually! It’s actually coming along swimmingly.” she laughs at his fake French accent, which is horrible, to tell you the truth, but she’ll humor him for his sake. Well, and for her own reasons, but that’s not something she’ll say aloud.

She smiles at him, choosing to order the salad, “Aw, I was hoping they’d have snails today!” she states, a huge smile on her face this time, as she begins to tell him of the latest travels and adventures of Lila and Jim. Right now, they’re going to the Eiffel Tower for their first “Not-Date” and it’s going to maybe be perfect, but Emily’s screwing everything up, so it won’t be perfect, like it should be.

“And, of course, he almost dies and falls off the Eiffel Tower and Emily saves him, which is horribly shocking” she ends the small tirade about her  book with that. She smiles at him, waiting to hear exactly what he thinks.

John did his best to hide a little grin that he couldn’t resist when he heard her little laughter.  It was a little cheesy, wasn’t it?  Really, it was something out of a novel …He pushed the thought aside as he returned his attention back to his fiery-haired friend.  Raising an eyebrow, he teased, “What good luck for the snails.  They live another day!”  Snails were rather curious creatures, weren’t they?  As eccentric as they were, John could never resist helping the helpless and letting the ones his mother abhorred so much escape freely into the realms of the garden.  ”Something tells me you wouldn’t like snails much anyway, Lilly.  What other French cuisine do we know?  Is French Onion soup even French?”
He listened intently to the latest travels of Lila and Jim and came to one conclusion: either, he was the most dense human being in the universe …or maybe Lilly fancied him?  …Hahaha, what a ridiculous notion!  But really!  How uncanny were the parallels?  For God’s sake, even Emilia, a close friend, could be compared to Emily, but as far as he knew, Emilia was a close favorite of John’s.  She was a treasured friend …a friend he was pretending to apparently fancy to cover up his actual affection for Lilly.  Sometimes, as brilliant as John could be, he really was a fool.

“Emily saves me?  Really - I mean!” Sometimes, there were moments when he pretended he was Jim, but he was just a figment of a girl’s imagination, wasn’t he? “I meant Jim, yeah.  Sometimes, I think that you based Jim off me, but why would you write about me, right?” John laughed a little weakly in efforts to hide an accidentally exposed secret, but he liked to blame that on his sleepless nights.  ”Well, I’m certainly rooting for Lila and Jim!  I feel a bit sad for poor Emily though.  I think she’s kind of just misunderstood, but I can’t help but feel rather endeared to Lila.  She’s kind of similar to you and you know how fond I am of you,” he winked.

Hel - er Bonjour!

king-everett:

You should, I mean maybe I’m a bit biased, but I think we put on a good show! Nothing wrong with being here with a friend! I bet you get to do plenty of sightseeing.

Bias is good!  …Sort of.  Besides, I like the ol’ tale of Romeo and Juliet.  Bit of a Shakespeare fan myself, but I digress.  Sightseeing is very intense!  I still haven’t tried snails yet.  I’m sure you’re busy with your theatre work and all, but do you get to tour Paris as well?
